By 2015, PDP Would Be No Match For APC, Says Al-Makura

The
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should prepare to play the role of opposition in
2015 as the All Progressives Congress (APC), will wrest power from it, the
Nasarawa state governor, Umar Tanko Al-Makura has said.
The
governor, in a recent interview, lampooned the PDP for what he described as
decay and neglect of the country, saying the party had destroyed everything good
it met on ground.
“By
the time we conclude all arrangements on 2015, the PDP would be no match for
APC. What makes us confident about the clout to take over the presidential power
in 2015 is the realisation sweeping through Nigeria today that the PDP has
failed the nation. The PDP which has been in power since 1999 has stopped
working. Worst still, what the PDP inherited in the country when it took over
government has disappeared, while many of such legacies had been destroyed
completely,” Al-Makura said.
The
governor also shed light on the recent killing of over 50 security agents in the
state by Ombatse cult members in Alakyo village saying some politicians who were
desperate to take reclaim power in 2015, have been fingered in the attack.
He
said: “Already, a Judicial Commission of Inquiry which was set up to probe the
killings had commenced activities. Once the committee gets through with its
work, Nigeria and indeed the whole world will know the people behind the
criminality and our administration would ensure that all of them are brought to
book.”
