Jaws collectively dropped on Tuesday when news broke that Emma Roberts had been arrested earlier this month for domestic violence against boyfriend Evan Peters.
But the actress appeared to be doing her best to make light of the incident in a bid to move on as she emerged on Wednesday.
Emma acted like nothing had happened as she was spotted for the first time since reports of the arrest surfaced, while out early in the morning in Los Angeles.

The 22-year-old even managed to flash a smile as she picked up some breakfast.
Emma, who was dressed in a black tunic top over a grey T-shirt, along with matching leggings, was seen carrying a paper bag which most likely contained food.
The Aquamarine star also showed off her love of felines with cat face loafers, cat eye sunglasses and a leopard print bag, and wore her dirty blonde hair in a ponytail.

The niece of Julia Roberts has kept mum on her arrest and avoided the topic on her Twitter page, but her representative has issued a statement on the matter.
'It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding,' her representative has told Entertainment Tonight.
'Ms Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it, ' the statement added.

Emma was taken into custody on July 7 in Montreal after getting into a fight with her beau that left 26-year-old Evan injured.

But she appeared to have some battle wounds of her own as the star was seen with bruises on her legs on Friday, five days after the arrest.
On the day of the incident police were called after someone reported a fight in the couple's hotel room and found Evan with a bloody nose.
Emma was released hours after her arrest because Evan declined to press charges, according to TMZ's report.
The two were said to be hitting each other and Emma was arrested because Evan had obvious physical injuries, a source told the website.
A law enforcement source said Evan also had a bite mark, but a source close to Emma denied the Valentine's Day actress bit him.
The couple are now reportedly back together and are working on Evan's hit show American Horror Story.
