It was a joyous moment for Rivers State based new celebrity, Mercy Chinwo Nnenda, as she emerged the second Nigerian Idol winner. The show, which lasted five months, ended yesterday in Lagos. Akwa Ibom based Joe Blue and Mercy battled head to head to win the coveted 100,000 US dollars prize tag. Mercy beat Joe Blue to win the prize with a recording contract deal and an SUC car added to her prize money. The show has now seen two females become successive winners.
